HIRED!
I was hired as an instructor at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University! I’m overjoyed that GOD granted my prayers of letting me in an academe to practice my profession in psychology. Though I was applying for a place in the guidance office, I was called that there was no vacancy but there’s a but! They called and asked me whether I want to have a teaching career because they are still hiring for instructors. Who am I to turn down such offer? They considered my application and so I aggressively responded to the need. After that, I immediately had the nerve-wrecking demo, took numerous batteries of psychological tests and the mind-blowing panel interview. All of these took approximately a week and a half. I had never expected things to be unfolding so fast. And today, the vice-president (to the academics) gave his final interview (actually, he just talked me out on taking my masteral degree. :)). Before sitting down, he welcomed me with the sweetest words of my day - we’ll hire you Miss Karen. And I responded enthusiastically yet very calm, “Thank you brother, Thank you! but inside my head I was screaming, “LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDD! Thank you!!! That time I know physiological signs of excitement were coming out (red face, sweaty palms, heart beats faster than the thumping of the horse. hahaha) while we were having a tete-a-tete on some matters about how life changing this would be for me. Indeed, it is life changing because this is my first job. I know, GOD planned everything well as it went so smooth. I am forever thankful to GOD, for YOU have always been there for me. If I did not know anything about YOU, I might say that I’m YOUR favorite! Thank you LORD especially for giving me a brother who was always with me during the sending of application letters, to my ate ken and tita jane who were always present during my interviews and most especially to my mom and dad that even distance could not conquer there love and support for me. THANK YOU LORD! Thank your for the many blessing that you showered upon us. :)
